Getting there
Reaching Rivers Casino on Hardin Street
Rivers Casino sits right downtown on Hardin Street, so getting there is simpler than first-visit nerves might suggest. Here is how you get there and back, with a car or without one.

The spot on Hardin Street
Rivers Casino & Entertainment Centre is at 9825 Hardin St., downtown Fort McMurray, Alberta T9H 4G9. The main line is (780) 790-9739, and the casino's own site is riverscasino.ca. The casino places itself in the very middle of the city where the Athabasca and Clearwater rivers meet. Its site title says it has been at the heart of the city since 1978.
There is a map link with directions on this page, so you can open it on your phone before heading out. Every time in this guide is Mountain time, the clock Fort McMurray keeps.
Riding On Demand downtown
RMWB Transit offers On Demand rides, including a Downtown zone. Weekday service runs only in the evening, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, hours extend from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can book a ride through the app, at rmwb.ca/OnDemand, or by phoning Pulse at 780-743-7000.
The catch is the clock. Rides stop at 10 p.m. Slot machines run until 3 a.m. after Sunday through Thursday, and until 4 a.m. after Friday and Saturday. So sort out your ride home before you walk in, not at the door at closing.
Driving in or staying over
The casino posts no parking or shuttle details, so parking is something to ask about rather than guess. Guest Services answers that on the main line, (780) 790-9739, extension 102. Coming from out of town and planning to stay the night? Rivers Casino has no hotel of its own and names no partner hotel, so line up a room somewhere else first.
Questions from first-timers
Can I take On Demand home at midnight?
On Demand will not get you home then: it stops at 10 p.m. every day of the week. If you plan to stay later, arrange another way home before you leave the house.
Where do I sleep if I stay over?
Not at the casino itself. Rivers Casino has no hotel of its own and names no partner hotel, so you will need to find a room elsewhere in town.
Is there parking at Rivers Casino?
The casino does not post parking or shuttle details. Call Guest Services at (780) 790-9739, extension 102, and ask before you head downtown.
